Remember the excitement of heading into a new year….rehearsing music, casting the show, trying on costumes, hours upon hours in the basement of Humanities losing track of the days until finally, finally the show is ready to take the stage. A common experience that has marked nearly 45 years of Wisconsin Singers.
And what did you look forward to the most? Visits from alumni, some leaving notes backstage to uplift flagging energy, some leaving snacks for those rare breaks, some sitting quietly (and sometimes not so quietly) in the back of Mills to cheer you on. Once a Singers, always a Singer.
2023 Production Camp takes place Aug. 16th through Sept. 3rd in the Humanities Building on campus. There will be signs on rehearsal doors to indicate areas open to enter. We ask that you understand that guests are not allowed in the band room as there is not enough room to accommodate extra chairs.
General schedule: 9 AM to 1 PM, Lunch, 2 PM to 6 PM, Dinner, 7 PM to ?? - run-through and rehearsal following.
NOTE: During casting of solos, Mills will be closed to all visitors.
Alumni are welcome to visit (but not interrupt the process!). Ways you can help during Production Camp:

Bring snacks to the backstage area anytime. If something needs to be refrigerated, please bring a cooler.
